MIT Technology Review's feature on digital twins of human organs described Steven Niederer's virtual hearts, built from the scans of patients treated at Hammersmith Hospital, on which procedures can be tried before an operation.

The feature looked at how digital twins are moving from research towards the clinic, and at the group’s work as one example.
