CVD-Net, networks of cardiovascular digital twins

An EPSRC-funded programme with the Alan Turing Institute, Sheffield and Nottingham, building connected digital twins with pulmonary arterial hypertension as the first clinical target.

CVD-Net builds digital twins that are connected to one another rather than standing alone, so a model of the heart, the lungs and the circulation can be reasoned about together. Patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension deteriorate between appointments, and the aim is to predict that deterioration rather than react to it.
